Before you buy this gear...

Please examine the pinion gear you are replacing closely & compare it to the one in the photographs. If the spool shaft does not look like the one in the photos, you'll need to use pinion gear #17020310. This pinion gear was generally used in the earliest versions of the smaller Classic Pro & Convector CN series reels as illustrated in photo numbers 5 & 6.
